This is a 4 Day Gorilla Adventure in Uganda with double gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Depart Kampala early in the morning and drive southwest with a brief stopover to view the ceremonial drums being crafted and at the Uganda Equator for photographs. Drive through Savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns. Ascend into the Kigezi highlands, with terraced farming and mountain scenery usually known as the "Switzerland of Africa". Drive through Kabale Town and continue on to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort or Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi
Wake up and prepare for the unforgettable experience. You will have breakfast to transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before setting off to the forest in search for gorillas. The guide will brief you and at 9:00 am you will set off to the forest for these apes. The time you will take searching these humble apes is unpredictable however it ranges between 2-9 hours depending on their movement. The activity requires you to go through steep rocks climbing up and down making it tiresome; however the thrill of encountering these giant primates erases the poor memories you went through in trying to find them. Over night at Gorilla Resort or Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 3: Second gorilla tracking
Day in the forest with option of second gorilla permit. This must be pre booked.
Day 4: Departure
Depart back to Kampala having lunch enroute.
