4 Days Uganda Safari to Bwindi Gorilla Forest for mountain gorilla trcaking and overnight stay at the Lake Bunyonyi in Western Uganda.
TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Transfer to the Gorilla Sanctuary, south-west in Bwindi, ascending into the Kigezi highlands known as the Switzerland of Africa with beautiful terraces and mountain scenery. Overnight at Gorilla Resort or Buhoma Homestead.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking
After an early morning breakfast, you will go for a briefing from the guide who will take you gorilla-tracking through steeply forested and beautiful landscape along several animal trails. The climax of the adventure is the opportunity to view the gentle and endangered mountain gorillas, an exciting and memorable experience. After an hour with the gorillas and picnic lunches in the forest, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Breakfast at leisure and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. After lunch, take a boat ride on the lake to visit neighboring pygmy tribes with their unique culture. For birders, the Bunyonyi area is uniquely endowed with the resident African Harrier Hawk, Yellow-backed, spectacled weavers, and many others. Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Overland Camp or Bunyonyi Safari Resort.
Day 4: Departure
A morning sport fishing or bird-watching in the surrounding area of the lodge, while being returned to Kampala. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route.
